Astrology Favors These Goalies for Day 3 & 4

Astrology Favors These Goalies for Day 3 & 4

  • Game day factors heavily into which goalie should start
  • Lunar shifts impacts Goalie’s mental readiness
  • USA’s Quick vs Canada’s Holtby is best match-up for Tuesday

The World Cup of Hockey is off to a wild start with upsets and shutouts. It has the potential to turn into a “which goalies can take the biggest beating” contest. Thankfully, these goalies are the best-of-the-best and even a relentless barrage of all-star SOG wont keep them from giving it 110% every game.

Our Astrological Goalie picks for Day 1 and 2  were spot on. While not all of them got the support they needed from their teammates, they still demonstrated why they are all-stars. And not surprisingly they clearly benefited astrologically as predicted in their charts.

So how about Day 3 and 4? Whose charts will favor the Game Day energy?

Here are our picks for days 3 & 4 of the tournament:

DAY 3 – Monday, Sept 19th

europeVs.czechlogo-0

  • Game Day: Monday, September 19, 2016
  • Game Time: 3:00 PM EST
  • Planetary Influences:
    • Moon in Taurus
    • Mercury is in Retrograde

TEAM EUROPE: Jaroslav Halak

Halak is an earthy Taurus, which for Goalies it not necessarily the most ideal sign. That said, for this game the Moon is in the sign of Taurus giving him a surprisingly calm and “comfortable in his own gear” feeling. He’ll feel very at one with his role and rested — especially coming off a bit of an easy shutout against team USA in game 1. That said, he will need to tap into his Aries energy to assure he doesn’t get deked out by the aggressive Czech offense. His Mars is in Gemini and because we are still in Mercury Retrograde, there is a chance for Halak to get some bad bounces or kicks that hurt more than help.

TEAM CZECH: Michal Neuvirth

Neuvirth stopped 44 of the 50 SOG in Saturday’s brutal Game 1 against Team Canada. An amazing showing with little-to-no breaks between beatings, Neuvirth was thrown to the wolves and held his own impressively. For Day 1 the Moon moves into Taurus and Neuvirth’s Venus is in Taurus. He will feel emotionally vested in assuring that he not only executes, but that he does it in a way that proves how good he is. Expect to see him making it look easy and playing the part of all-star.

  • Game Day: Monday, September 19, 2016
  • Game Time: 8:00 PM EST
  • Planetary Influences:
    • Moon Quincunx Saturn 6:36 pm
    • Moon in Taurus
    • Mercury is in Retrograde

TEAM RUSSIA: Sergei Bobrovsky

While not necessarily getting a boost from the universe, Sergei Bobrovsky’s chart suggests he will play at his normal all-star level and be a safe and effective pick. Vasilevskiy, should be the back-up for Bobrovsky tonight as his chart is also fairly unimpacted by the lunar events. Conversely, Varlamov has the potentially to be hot and cold and possibly risk over extending or injury if he were to play.

TEAM NORTH AMERICA: Matt Murray

Matt Murray is probably the right choice for tonight. He will be feeling fairly calm and at home in his crease and coming off a light night of only 25 SOG against team Finland, he’s eager to be put to the test by the far more aggressive Russian squad. That said, his chart doesn’t spell “shutout”.  In fact, he has the potential to bobble a few pucks. And while Mercury is still in Retrograde, he’ll need to be extra focused. Unfortunately for Coach McLellan, Gibson and Hellebuyck are far riskier options today and he’ll need Murray to hold down the fort.

Day 4 – Tuesday, Sept 20th

sweedenVs. finland

  • Game Day: Tuesday, September 20, 2016
  • Game Time: 3:00 PM EST
  • Planetary Influences:
    • Moon in Taurus
    • Moon quincunx Mars 7:07 pm
    • Moon quincunx Venus 8:40 pm
    • Mercury Retrograde

TEAM FINLAND: TUKKA RASK

Finland started Pekka Rinne against North America and while he held his own, Finland may have had better luck stifling the young all-stars with Tukka Rask in net (See our Game 1 Goalie Prediction)  For this Tuesday Game Day, the Moon is favoring Rask. His chart is loaded with Water Signs and even more importantly, his Mars is in Taurus. With the Moon in Rask’s Mars sign, his game-play will be particularly smooth and confident — making it look effortless. He’ll feel at home and comfortable in his gear and his crease giving him a bit of an intimidating presence. Tonight he has the potential to play above his normal contributions making him the standout choice.

TEAM SWEDEN: Jhonas Enroth

Of Sweden’s goalie options, astrologically Jhonas Enroth is getting the biggest boost from Tuesday’s lunar movements. He’s a Cancer and has Mars in Pisces, meaning he’ll be more mentally chilled out than normal.  He does have a bit of Mercury Retrograde working against his Gemini Venus, however if given the chance, he’d likely impress more tonight than any other night of the tournament. That said, Markstrom is almost entirely unimpacted by tonight’s Moon and would be a safe choice for Sweden if they choose to start him instead.

  • Game Day: Tuesday, September 20, 2016
  • Game Time: 8:00 PM EST
  • Planetary Influences:
    • Moon in Taurus
    • Moon quincunx Mars 7:07 pm
    • Moon quincunx Venus 8:40 pm
    • Mercury Retrograde

TEAM CANADA: Braden Holtby

Tuesday Game definitely goes to Braden Holtby. I know the popular opinion may be Carey Price, but believe it or not, the pesky Moon Quincunx events happening right around game time could potentially wreak havoc on Price’s Leo and Aries heavy chart. Holtby on the other hand, is less impacted by the lunar events and actually will see a slight benefit from it — giving him a bit of a “nothing to loose” attitude. He’s ready to do his thing tonight against USA and put a nail in the painful Game 6 of the Eastern Conf Finals.  You can bet USA will be out to prove themselves tonight and they wont go easy on him. But tonight, you can expect some very impressive and “how did he do that?” saves from Holtby.

TEAM USA: Jonathan Quick

This is a real tricky one. Today both Ben Bishop and Johnathan Quick will be getting favorable boosts from the Moon. And both will escape the impact of the Mars quincunx events. Bishop will feel the flow and play with more ease and grace. Quick however, will play a more clear headed and extremely smart game. Quick will be in sync with his body and it will do whatever he tells it to.

Against the great and powerful Team Canada, it’s going to take more than a lunar boost to stop pucks. Team USA Defense is going to have to put in a strong showing and lift some of the burden off the goaltending.

One big difference between Quick and Bishop is that Aquarius Quick is a bit of a lone wolf. While he welcomes and needs the support of his teammates defensive efforts, he NEVER relies on or expects it. Bishop on the other hand feels an extreme loyalty and connection to his team and needs to feel as if they have his back. If for any reason Bishop begins to feel his teammates aren’t supporting him, it can throw him for a loop. For Tuesday, we’re sticking with Quick because it will take a mentally strong performance to keep Canada contained.
