The Anaheim Ducks vs Edmonton Oilers Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs is do or die for the Oilers. Astrologically this game is fueled from the get-go. At 7:01pm EST the Moon is conjuct with Jupiter casting aggressive energy and a desire to instigate from the moment the puck drops. High energy chaos will create lucky opportunities and missed calls favoring some players over others.
Ducks vs. Oilers
The Ducks come into tonight’s game with a .24 pt astrological advantage. This however, is an average across the roster. More than likely tonight’s game will be determined by the specific favored players rather than the average. Not every player will leverage or use this energy shift in a productive manner.
Because the lunar aspect peaks right at the start of the game, it will be particularly strong. Affected players may or may not know how to compartmentalize their feelings. They may assume their antsy feelings are just first period jitters but they will soon find they can’t settle down their heart rates and mental game well into the 2nd and 3rd periods.
The past few games the Ducks’ game changers have been largely their veteran depth – Getzlaf, Silfverberg, Rakell & Perry. Today we’re going to see some energy from additional contributors. The impact will be a fairly intimidating offensive showing with players like Ritchie, Cogliano, Thompson and Kesler all looking to contribute and close this series out.
The Oilers are coming in to the game, off a double over time loss in Game 5 in which they had a 3-0 lead in the third. They’re likely determined to redeem themselves, especially in their own barn in front of their hometown fans. With this pre-existing motivator, and the energy of tonight the Oilers will also come in with guns blazing. Several key contributors are feeling the need to create chaos and over come the Ducks through crafty and not so subtle play. Draisaitl, Marron, McDavid, Nugent-Hopkins, Caggiula and Larsson are a few who will be unapologetic about their play. That said, they have their work cut out for them. Fortunately, the Oilers’ Defensive squad is set to go toe-to-toe with the Ducks in fairly unconventional ways.
Goalie Grudge Match
Tonight both goalies are extremely fired up. And when a goalie is worked up that means it can either be really really good or really really bad. Given the energy and physicality of the night, I’d expect lots of shots on goal and these goalies emotions are going to be very high. Look for some tantrums, challenges and “how the hell did he do that” saves. To say tonight will be determined by goalie performance is a stretch. BUT I will say, the Coach’s pulse on their goalie’s ability to compartmentalize will be key. If a change in goaltending is needed, the Coach who hesitates will likely be the one to blame for the loss.
